Sophos recently warned of a rampant threat of Spam campaign, which is aimed at taking PC users into making a download of a spyware Trojan horse. Containing phrases like ‘hot photos from my birthday’ the emails claim to connect users to adult online content, while in actual fact the links lands to a website, which consists of the Pushu-A Trojan horse, ambushing to pilfer info from infected computer owners.

Sophos further maintains that visitors to the website are allured to make a download of what they think is going to be a collection of hardcore adult photographs in an archive file - as a matter of fact the file is a nasty executable known as xxx.exe or foto.exe. While examining one website sending the malware, experts at SophosLabs also claimed to have detected a unusual photograph of two US comedians, Lewis Black and Dave Attell, which is in point of fact unconnected to either the Spam emails or the malware itself.

Graham Cluley, senior technology consultant at Sophos was quoted as saying,

As with all messages offering salacious content, the danger is that some people may be so excited about the prospect of viewing the pictures that they’ll click before thinking about what might be in the best interests of their PC’s health. The comics in the photograph certainly add a strange twist, though it’s unlikely anyone will be laughing if their PCs are compromised by downloading Pushu.
