On Friday, A 21-year-old man in U.S was sentenced to 37 months in Jail by U.S. District Judge Marsha Pechman. Mr. Christopher Maxwell, who initiated a sever robot attack, was sentenced because he expected to make use of his enormous botnet to infect millions of users with spyware and take home himself commissions through affiliate programs.
According to the FBI: Maxwell and two of other his underage teens netted over $100,000 with their scheme. The invasion was so vile that a School District, the US Department of Defense and a Hospital were influenced by the invasion, which happened in 2004 and 2005.
The witnesses present in the courtroom told that Maxwell, on hearing the jail term began to plead by saying,
I am a 21-year-old boy with a good heart and I made a mistake. However, his petition fell upon death ears as the Judge sentenced him to 37 months in federal prison.
