PC Tools, Australia-based anti-spyware vendor, is looking forward to develop its global channel five-fold by the ending of 2007 The company, which is currently consisted with almost 1,000 VARs and tot up Webroot, Symantec, Trend Micro and McAfee as a few of its leading rivals, aims at bolstering its channel to almost 2,000 in Europe, 2,000 in the US and 1,000 in the Asia-Pacific region.

Troy Vertigan, vice-president of global VAR business at PC Tools, said:

The portal means the whole order process is automated for partners. They can download marketing material and all the necessary support information directly from the portal.

PC Tools, as part of its channel push, has come up with a devoted reseller portal and is providing margins of up to 40%. It is firming up its initial official VAR programme, which has been scheduled to release in almost five weeks.
