PC Tools has launched a new automated spyware/virus weapon called Threat Expert, which boasts of decoding malicious threats quickly as a surreptitious weapon. The latest Threat Expert is claimed to bring about the equal of a ’sting operation’ to bait suspicious viruses and spyware into exposing their risky activities.

Michael Greene, Vice President of Product Strategy said,

Most Internet security sandbox detection of suspected threats use systems that replicate the Microsoft OS.’ ‘This means these sandboxes must be constantly updated or they fail to catch suspected malware. Threat Expert’s approach replicates both the hardware and software to fool these suspected threats into revealing their criminal activities.

Greene said that the Threat Expert brings about such a virtual situation for suspicious viruses and spyware that they are easily nabbed when they start doing their malicious activities. Making it clearer Greene says that generally viruses and malware ask questions like:

Is there an active Internet connection?’ If the answer is ‘no’ the virus simply stops. ‘But Threat Expert answers: ‘yes’ and as soon as the suspicious malware makes an effort to get connected to a remote server to with the aim of committing theft of personal info, the Threat Expert says: ‘talk to me baby.
