ScanSafe, in its latest Annual Global Threat Report, claimed to have found out that the convergence of threats rules over the Web security world. The magnitude of the threats is so potential that hardly any computer is immune of the grip of malicious stuff; it is going high day by day.

ScanSafe, in 2006, slabed 254 % more attacks of spyware and spotted 32% fewer Web viruses, instead it did in 2005. Though new techniques are being used to wade of the threats, but there does not seem any respite from the continuous flow of latest Web-based threats, which are posing latest threats day by day.

The year not only depicted insistent increase in spyware all through the year, but also the more sinister payloads which are increasingly being harbored by the online criminals to spread spyware or the malicious stuff to corrupt the computers.
