Security Experts at MicroWorld Technologies has warned of increased occurrences of a Worm with Trojan potentials, which has been infecting Enterprise systems and home PCs for the past two weeks. Security Experts claim:
The Worm ‘Win32.Agent.wj’ copies itself to the root folder of USB flash Drives, MP3 players or other removable storage devices in the machine. Then the worm moves on to create ‘autorun.inf’ configuration file, which activates the malicious code as soon as the infected drive is plugged into another computer.
Thus whenever a riddled PC is started, the malicious worm is also sprinted automatically as a result of showing off a text in Chinese on the desktop for a short time. Internally, the pernicious Worm hides itself with the support of Windows “SetFileAttributes” and makes an effort to elude finding.
