As per the research conducted by Websense Security Labs, thousands of pieces of pernicious binaries have been detected on the web. Websense tested Google with Google’s very own application programming interface (’Signature: 00004550′) to discover malevolent executables indexed by the search engine, the results were alarming to find that A Google query for ‘Signature: 00004550′ had multitudes of links to executable files.
When Google indexes the executable file, the search passes the PE file format of the windows executable.Websense discovered, regular personal, on forum sites, compromised, educational, as well underground sites. Numerous pieces of spyware were also detected on casino and poker sites.
