Websense has warned Skype users of the malicious Trojan, which is on the loose to utilize the infected machine to reach out and infest the user’s friends and colleagues. The malicious Trojan known as Warezov and Stration is claimed to being distributed via the Skype network again. An earlier version was initially noticed to attack late in February. Dan Hubbard, a vice president of security research at Websense, maintained though the Trojan isn’t broadly reach out at this point, but it is accessing across the network.

While the code itself is not self-propagating, when it sprints, a URL is relayed to each one in the user’s contact list. If their Skype program is sprinting, a message will come up, alluring the user to hit a click on a link, infesting them and carrying on the nasty cycle. In addition the Trojan also opens a back door in the user’s PC, allowing a hacker to reach into the system and commit theft of the user’s info or make use of the PC to distribute spam or even a denial-of-service attack.
