Websense recently warned Web surfers of avoiding www.dolphinsstadium.com and www.miamidolphins.com sites as these two sites have been hacked, and malicious code on these sites is making an attempt to infect computers for at least a week. With the aim of exploiting the web users, the websites of Dolphin Stadium and the Miami Dolphin are being represented as www.proplayerstadium.com.
The Dolphins’ sites give out insidious JavaScript code that exploits two identified Windows susceptibilities, which after that tries to get connected with a second Web server that deploys a Trojan downloader and a password-stealing program on the victim’s computer. The Trojan program allows the attackers to deploy pernicious software at a later date. The website that installed the pernicious software is located in China, and has been operating intermittently on Friday morning.
