Poker is a popular pastime for many people, and some even manage to make a lot of money playing it. The WSOP (World Series of Poker) is a series of poker tournaments held in Las Vegas. Tournaments played include No Limit Hold ‘Em, Seven Card Stud, H.O.R.S.E., and more. The main tournament is a $10,000 No Limit Hold ‘Em event, with millions of dollars awarded to the winner as prize money. WSOP events are televised and are very popular, with people traveling from all over the world to watch and participate in these games. Playing in WSOP Anyone can participate in a number of events. You can register online. This pre-registration guarantees you a seat at the table, as opposed to just showing up the day of the event and trying to register at a table that may already be filled. For those who want a guaranteed seat, pre-registration online is strongly recommended. If you want to play in live action games, you don’t have to register. Once you register, you will be emailed with your seat assignment and full instructions for participation. Watching the WSOP If you prefer to watch the action in person, you can do so free of charge. However, spectators must be at least 21 years old and prepared to show a valid photo ID, if asked. You can get autographs from your favorite players, but be careful not to bring a camera or recording device, as this is not allowed and could result in your removal from the premises. People who go to watch the events will also get special deals on their hotel rooms in Vegas if they mention that they are in town for the WSOP. The WSOP is an entertaining and sometimes lucrative event for both players and participants.
